Dr. Hobson Fulmer supports the 24th Sizzler that he started. 10,650 lunches provided so far in 2021!

Elder Care Community Council of Franklin County (ECCC) has provided almost 10,650 lunches in 2021 out of the Holy Family Senior Center in Apalachicola.  ECCC asks for your support now more than ever to sustain this important work of assuring that nutritious meals are available to those in need in our county.  The meals are prepared in the kitchen at Holy Family and available for pick up and volunteers deliver to the homebound on our list.
Our big fundraiser of the year is coming up on August 7th, The ECCC SGI Sizzler 5 K Race & One Mile Fun Run.  Last year the event was cancelled due to COVID-19.  Now is the time to prepare for the race or walk and register on Eventbrite to purchase your tickets.  ECCC is also asking for sponsors.  If you would like your name or business name on our race day banner and other marketing, the deadline is July 23 to make your sponsor commitment.   Call  850-370-0116 or email ecccfranklin@gmail.com for more information about how you can support elders in our community. We also need volunteers the day of the event, so let us know if you can help on August 7.  Mark your calendar and join us at Mango Mike’s sports Bar and Grill.  We invite everyone, of all ages, to come and join the fun on August 7th and to show your support for ECCC with a sponsorship for the event.  Donations can be made at PayPal.me/ecccfranklin or call us at 850-370-0116 to find out more.  Dr. Hobson Fulmer who started the race 24 years ago says, ” I am happy the race has continued because it is such a great asset to the community.  It has been the major fundraiser for the high school cross country program, the humane society and now ECCC.  Thousands of runners have participated over the years raising thousands of dollar for these good causes.”
ECCC is a 501(c)(3) community organization that serves to bridge the gaps in services for those over age 55 living in Franklin County Florida.  www.ecccfranklin.org. 850-370-0116.  If you or someone you know is in need, please let us know.
