Beginning of February UPDATE!

The New Years Baskets are almost full and we need your help to round them up.  Can you drop off some kitchen sponges, toilet paper or window cleaner at Holy Family in Apalach?  The deadline is this Friday and the baskets will be filled on Saturday at 10am.  Please let us know you can drop off a donation and if you can show up on Saturday to help fill the baskets and then deliver them out to the seniors.  The center is open from 8am – 1pm and we are ready for your donations.  Call Val at 850-370-0116 to let her know what you can bring and if you can show up on Saturday to help out.  Cash/checks can also be dropped off or mailed to ECCC, PO Box 335, Eastpoint, FL 32328.  Credit card donations at PayPal.me/ecccfranklin. Each basket is valued at about $50.

Saturday there is a Sound Bath, Yoga & Yoga Nidra session from 3pm – 4:30 with proceeds going to ECCC.  Come and relax to the healing sounds.  This practice is available to everyone and can be done from a chair or on the mat.  Don’t miss this unique opportunity to rest in awareness.  Call Betsy at 614-425-4548 with any questions.  No pre-registration needed, just come about 15 minutes early to get a spot. Yoga class is Tuesday and Thursday from 9am – 10:30 and is open to all.

Next Saturday, February 10 is the Isle Newell Chris Godber concert and dinner.  Come listen to smooth jazz, have a fine meal and support ECCC.  Tickets at www.inconcertapalachicola.org.  You can also purchase tickets or tables for February 24 when Bernard Simmons and his band take the stage at Holy Family.  These two shows are not to be missed!  Thank you Ilse Newell!

A BIG thank you to the Susan McClendon Art Workshop for sponsoring the next art workshop on February 6.  The class is full but email ecccfranklin@gmail to get on the wait list.  This is the third class in a series of six classes designed to bring art to the community in honor of Susan.  Stay tuned for the next class.

February 18 at 11am is the next session from Linda Sapp, FAMU Extension Office, in the Senior Scientist Series about Native Songbird Population Recovery Efforts.  Nest boxes will be assembled and you can install one on your Franklin County property.

ECCC received the Community Service Award from the Martin Luther King Jr. Advisory Board.  Great work is happening!

Lunch is available to anyone over the age of 60 along with daily activities at Holy Family. Stop by around 11am and join in the fun.
