Please join us for an afternoon with gallery artist, Barbara Noonan. A new show of her recent paintings will be on view – and for those who are curious about the process behind the painting – don’t miss her artists’s demonstration from 2-4 p.m. A meet & greet with Barbara follows from 4-6 p.m. Come to either one or both!
Raffle tickets (3 for $20) will be available, to win her completed demo painting at the end of the afternoon. You need not be present to win. All proceeds will benefit the Elder Care Community Council of Franklin County. ECCC is well-known in our community for providing meals and a wide range of programs that serve the needs of seniors in our area.
Barbara brings influences from the Pacific Northwest where she spends the summers on an island north of Seattle. Every winter she returns to St. George Island – walking the beach for miles in every kind of weather, birdwatching and exploring the marshes. Natural wild shorelines are a touchstone for Barbara, and they inspire her painting subjects. She prefers soft pastel for the immediacy of the pigment and its saturation potential, and she seeks to push the boundaries of interpretive painting in her work.
Over the years, she has made many local friends, and she loves to support ECCC whenever she can. Come out for a fun and creative afternoon with friends and fellow art lovers, all while supporting ECCC.
