Seafood Lunch

Elder Care Community Council of Franklin County, ECCC, had an amazing Thursday last week.  ECCC treated the seniors to a delicious seafood lunch ’to-go’.  Sponsors were the Apalachicola Oyster Company & Water Street Seafood along with many, many volunteers.  ECCC is so grateful for the volunteer chefs:  Andre Wynn, Chef Ed Miller, Ramon Valenzeula, and Craig Gibson, that spent the morning under the shade of the trees at Holy Family Senior Center, cooking the seafood. The ECCC Board appreciates everyone that contributed the food and generous service and commitment to the senior members of our community.

Thank you for your support of ECCC and our efforts to assure that no one over age 55 in Franklin County is hungry while the doors at Holy Family Senior Center are closed due to COVID-19.  In January, we provided almost 1,500 lunches to those in need.  We could not do all we are doing to assure that elders are taken care of right in our community without your support.  Call us at 850-370-0116 if you or someone you know needs help, to volunteer, or to find out more about supporting ECCC and how you can get involved.   ECCC is a 501(c)(3) organization bridging the gaps in services to those over age 55 in Franklin County.
