Happy Thanksgiving

Elder Care Community Council of Franklin County wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  ECCC is so grateful for every person over age 55 living in Franklin County.  We are especially thankful to many of you that have committed to our mission to bridge the gaps in services for seniors by making cash donations, volunteering, making friendly check in calls, baking cookies, collecting groceries and other non-perishables,  and many other tasks that contribute to enhancing the lives of seniors right in our own community.   It has been a challenging time during the pandemic, when the doors at Holy Family Senior Center in Apalachicola have been closed.  We have had to figure out a whole new way to provide assistance, just like you have had to figure out life during the pandemic.   We are all doing the best we can and together we can make a difference in the lives of others.  We absolutely could not do what we do without your generous donations of time and money.  If you would like to help us sustain the work that we have begun, this coming Tuesday , December 1, is #GivingTuesday and there is no better time to give then now.   #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving and ECCC is proud to be part of making positive change in Franklin County.  Your dollars will stay local and your generosity will make an impact on the wellbeing of people right in our neighborhoods.  Please mail us a check at PO Box 335, Eastpoint, FL 32328 or go to our website – www.ecccfranklin.org to make a donation by credit card.  We continue to provide lunch to those in need for ‘to-go’ out of the Holy Family Senior Center Kitchen and volunteers deliver meals to the homebound elders, Monday through Friday, including Thanksgiving Day.  This past week we surpassed 90 meals in one day and we are planning ahead for December holidays.   We need your help with a donation if you are able to support our efforts.  You can designate your donation to purchase food, household items or for our benefit fund.  Please call us at 850-370-0116 to see how you can get involved and please make your donation today.  If you have already donated, we appreciate you.  Thank you for  your commitment and for caring deeply about people over age 55 in Franklin County.  ECCC is a 510(c)(3) organization formed in 2016 by dedicated volunteers and we need your support.  Wishing you a safe, healthy and Happy Thanksgiving.
