Carolyn Williams is new cook at Holy Family Senior Center

Elder Care Community Council of Franklin County (ECCC) announces the addition of Carolyn E. Williams as the new cook at Holy Family Senior Center in Apalachicola.  Ms.Williams is a native of Apalachicola Florida. She graduated from Apalachicola High in 1974. She also graduated from Lively with a certification in CNA and then from Florida A&M manpower vocational school with a certification in business. Later, she  attended Tom P. Haney vocational completing a certification in Food Service and Hotel Management. Her work history includes working  as a food service supervisor for the State of Florida Department of Correction for approximately 11 years. She has also been the cook for the Piggly Wiggly and  Gulfside IGA store for a combined total of 25 years. Ms. Williams has the experience for the job at The Center and does her work in the spirit of excellence. She is a member of the Love and Worship Center Church here in Apalachicola, Florida. She is a mother of one daughter and the grandmother of two. Ms. Williams says that she, ‘loves her community and is always willing to help anyone at any time.”  ECCC is grateful for her expertise as the kitchen is busy serving up to 70 meals in a day.  If you or someone you know, are over age 55, please stop by Hoy Family Senior Center for lunch to go.  During the time of COVID-19 volunteers are delivering the daily lunch to homebound seniors in our community as the Center remains closed to the public and all activities and events are on hold.  You can also join us as a volunteer.
